Visit to the Palais Rohan in Strasbourg
Go back in time and discover the architectural masterpiece of the Palais Rohan in eastern France
History of the Rohan Palace
The heritage of this Strasbourg palace is incredibly rich. It was the home of the 4 cardinals of Rohan, then the town hall and imperial and royal palace. Beyond being a historical testimony, it tells of the art of living of the region's high personalities in the 18th century.
Everything was conceived and designed by Robert de Cotte, the famous French architect. He wanted the building to resemble the great Parisian hotels of the time. Every detail was important and the whole thing created the rococo style of Strasbourg.
