We had a great stay here.

The location was great and the staff were hospitable.

The best spots in Strasbourg

Top 5 must-sees in Strasbourg

As the European capital and capital of Alsace, Strasbourg boasts a rich and captivating heritage.

Here is our selection of the must-sees:

THE GRANDE ÎLE

This is Strasbourg's historic centre, surrounded by the River Ill, and home to many points of interest: the cathedral quarter, the Kammerzell house, the Palais Rohan, Saint-Thomas church, as well as the Kléber and Broglie squares. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, there is much to discover here.

NOTRE-DAME DE STRASBOURG CATHEDRAL

A Gothic masterpiece and the symbol of Strasbourg, Notre-Dame Cathedral is the second-tallest cathedral in France at 142 metres. Built of pink Vosges sandstone, it took 3 centuries to complete. Take time to admire its magnificent statues, its sublime rose window 14 metres in diameter and its atomic clock.

THE PETITE FRANCE DISTRICT

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this is Strasbourg's most emblematic district.
Once home to tanners, millers and fishermen, it has retained its old-world charm, with half-timbered houses and narrow streets.

NEUSTADT

This is the former German imperial quarter, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.
Built with the aim of making Strasbourg a representation of Prussian power, it is characterised not only by its wide avenues but also by its harmonious combination of monuments and landscapes.
Today, it is one of the last remaining examples of German architecture from the late 19th century.

THE EUROPEAN QUARTER

A symbol of Franco-German reconciliation and the creation of Europe, the European Quarter brings together Strasbourg's main European institutions: the European Parliament, the Palais de l'Europe, the Palais des droits de l'Homme, the Lieu d'Europe and the European Pharmacopoeia.
