Major cycle routes
Strasbourg is criss-crossed by several cycle routes:
- EuroVélo 15: this 1,320km route links the source of the Rhine (Switzerland) to the North Sea (Netherlands). Around 180km of it passes through Alsace, and Strasbourg in particular.
- EuroVélo 5: almost 4,000km linking Canterbury (England) to Brindisi (Italy). In Strasbourg, the route runs alongside the Rhone-Rhine canal.
- La Piste des Forts: an 85km route that takes in the 19 military forts that surround Strasbourg, with a stopover in Germany in the small town of Kehl.
